Sarajevo Olympic Bobsleigh

The most demanding and most expensive project of Winter Olympics in Sarajevo was the bobsleigh track at Mount Trebevic, which was used for competition in bobsled and sledging. Sarajevo bobsled track was one of the steepest and fastest on world, but also one of the safest. Start of the track was on 1108 meters altitude, finish line was on 982, long 1570 meters. Symbol of the XIV Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo, now looks devastated and abandoned place "decorated" with graffiti. During the siege of Sarajevo 1992-1995. bobsled track was badly damaged. Neither one of accompanying buildings was not preserved, concrete trough in several places was turned into a army loophole. 30th years after the Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, bobsleigh track is a place which brings back memories of the Olympic spirit of Sarajevo.
