The mother of twelve children Refija Zahirović stands at the entrance of twelve square meters room, which is actually their home in Visoko, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Without bathroom and basic living conditions, she tries to motivate her children to continue their education. Of the twelve children, only one so far has completed elementary school. Mother Refija is determined that the younger, four of them, have at least eight grades of elementary school. According to official data, Roma are almost 100% unemployed. Whether a Roma child attends school largely dependent on parents, because some, thanks to education, manage to get out of the "vicious circle of poverty", while others remain on the margins without any financial or health security.
